and that is what we concentrate on at Mount Pleasant Home. From our
home-cooked meals to our new ping pong table...
A life about
living means choices and a
freedom to do what you like.
Each resident has his/her own private room to be personalized and
decorated however preferred. Furnished either by Mount Pleasant or
the resident, the bedroom is each resident's personal space within a home
shared with others. Each Tuesday and Thursday morning, volunteers come to serve Coffee Hour with
refreshments, fruits, cakes, cookies, or crackers with cheese. This
provides optimal time to chat, catch up on current events, or listen to
different kinds of music. Mount Pleasant has an easy-to-use stereo
system with a variety of musical selections in which to choose: classical,
jazz, rock, holiday, opera, blues, big band, and more.
 Whether you want to
enjoy a good book, watch television, or just sit back and relax, we have a
place for you. Here, in the second floor Activity Room, residents can
read or join a card game. This room also provides space for BINGO
games, art shows, nail painting, and pizza parties.
Common areas can also serve as meeting spaces for family and friends.
Residents are free to invite loved ones to meals as well as to use the
various common rooms as a personal space to spend time together. All
rooms are outfitted with antiques, comfortable furniture, beautiful art,
and large windows with views of the outside gardens.
