Indoor Golf
Thanks to the ingenuity of maintenance staff member Frank Cronin, the
residents have a very clever way of playing golf without grass, greens, or
the great outdoors. By setting up a felt mat over our folded-up ping
pong table at one end of the room, residents used ping pong balls wrapped
in Velcro to try for a hole in one.
It is a great way to work on your swing, get some exercise, and just plain
have fun all at the sa me
time. One resident, "Spike" Miller (pictured at left), was already well known for
taking his clubs to the front lawn to practice his swing; he has taken a
huge liking to the new setup - which was christened on his birthday! You can see him on the left helping
another resident perfect her swing.
Many residents and staff members participated in this fun activity by
cheering and "coaching", and because of the activity's ease, most everyone
could even play regardless of strength level. |
