Red Sox Win World Series!

Every Bostonian knows that the Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years...but what many do not know is that the official Trophy, two players, and several staff members came to visit Mount Pleasant Home!

How did this miraculous event come about?

The Red Sox's Community Affairs Department has been kicked into high gear with the change in ownership for the Sox.  These staffers have been scheduling trips to all sorts of organizations across the state to share in the joy of such a momentous event.

Two Red Sox players, lefthander Lenny DiNardo and infielder Kevin Youkilis, shared their stories of the Sox's win and made sure to sign autographs for everyone in attendance.

Lana Jones from WBZ News Radio was there to interview our residents.  Memories of 25-cent tickets for Ladies' Night games, 50 cents per hour to work at Fenway, and of course, the last World Series victory flooded the room.

Local Newspapers came for pictures and stories as well, so check out the Jamaica Plain Gazette!
