The holiday season is a time we invite all friends and
families into our home to visit with residents and enjoy festive food
and music.
Even though the weather started out icy on Sunday,
December 7, it didn't dampen our annual Holiday Open House. The main
living was filled to the brim with friends and families of residents,
staff, trustees, and volunteers enjoying the festivities!
Delicious hors d'oeuvres made by Chef Tony Berry,
home-baked cookies made by Chef Ricky McLean, and eggnog and apple cider
were served by volunteer Girl Scouts and Simmons College student, Claire
O'Conner.
Holiday piano favorites were played by pianist Eileen
Hutchins and sung along by the crowd. The new Mount Pleasant Home video
was showcased in the upstairs living room and impressed more than a few
guests.
